Pool Chemical Logbook Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Pool Chemical Logbook mobile application published by Pool By Engineer Inc., including the Android version on Google Play and the iOS version distributed through Apple platforms. It explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and what choices users have.

  • Last updated April 14, 2026
  • Applies to Android and iOS builds
  • Developer: Pool By Engineer Inc.

What The App Handles

The app is designed to handle operational records, account access, and subscription status for pool-chemistry workflows.

Pool Chemical Logbook is not an advertising app. It is an operations app that lets a user sign in, store water-treatment records, sync those records, generate reports, and manage subscription access.

Account Data

Information used for sign-in and account access.

  • Email address and account identifier
  • Sign-in method details such as email/password, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in where available
  • Password reset and account-recovery actions
  • Subscription or entitlement status tied to the account

Operational Records

Information you enter while using the app.

  • Facility or property details, including names and addresses you enter
  • Pool or spa setup details such as body type, indoor/outdoor flag, and volume
  • Chemical readings, notes, initials, targets, and related operational history
  • Generated report and export content such as monthly PDF logbooks

Team And Billing Data

Information used to support seats, members, and paid features.

  • Member invitation or seat-management details connected to an account or property
  • Purchase and subscription state handled through Google Play Billing or Apple Store billing systems
  • Product and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features

Technical And Device Data

Information needed to run, sync, and secure the app.

  • App, platform, and service metadata needed for authentication and cloud sync
  • On-device storage needed for offline use and later synchronization
  • Support communications you send directly to Pool By Engineer Inc.

How We Use Information

Operational use only.

  • To create and secure user accounts
  • To save, sync, and restore pool-chemistry records across devices
  • To generate reports and export files you request
  • To support subscription access and member/seat controls
  • To respond to support requests, account issues, and deletion requests

How Information Is Shared

Limited service-provider sharing.

Pool By Engineer Inc. may rely on service providers such as Firebase, Google Play, and Apple platform services to authenticate accounts, sync app data, and process subscriptions. The app is not intended to sell personal data or use third-party advertising networks inside the product.

Permissions And Location

Facility location details and device permissions.

The app stores facility locations and address details that users enter manually. Some Android builds may declare location-related permissions. The intended use of any such permission is limited to app functionality and not background tracking or advertising.

Offline Storage And Sync

The app keeps working without service.

Pool Chemical Logbook is designed to keep records on the device when internet service is unavailable, then synchronize changes when connectivity returns. This is part of the app’s normal operation and backup behavior.

Your Choices

Access, correction, and deletion.

  • You can update operational records and account information inside the app.
  • You can use the password-reset flow for account recovery where supported.
  • You can request deletion of your account and related data through in-app flows or by contacting support.
  • If you export or share a PDF logbook, that share action happens only when you choose it.

Retention And Security

Records stay only as long as needed for the service.

We use reasonable measures to protect account and operational data. Records may remain on the device, in cloud systems, or in limited backups for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or complete deletion workflows.
